Katie Wilson grew up training competitively at Focal Point Dance Studios under the direction of Amanda Tae in Miami FL. After graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Katie moved to Philadelphia to begin her college career at The University of the Arts. Katie then moved to LA and earned her B.A. in Dance at Loyola Marymount University.

After graduation, Katie returned to Florida and began dancing professionally for the Miami Marlins as a “Marlins Mermaid” from 2018-2021. During this time Katie started choreographing for multiple dance teams across South Florida and eventually started her very own Varsity Dance Team at Pine Crest School FTL. Katie was the head coach for the PCDT for 5 years.

In 2021 Katie became a Miami Heat Dancer and was voted Rookie of the Year by her coaches and teammates. She completed 3 seasons as a Miami Heat Dancer.

Along with dancing in the sports industry, Katie has continued to dance professionally in other avenues. Katie is featured in music videos for artists like Marc Anthony, Darell, and Casper Magico. Katie recently performed with Pitbull in multiple shows along the Hawaiian coastlines.

Katie has choreographed for multiple college dance teams such as the University of Miami “Sunsations”, DUKE "Dancing Devils", the University of South Florida “Sundolls”, Loyola Marymount University Spirit Squad, and the Nova Southeastern University “Sharkettes”. Katie has also choreographed for the Miami Marlins Mermaids, NHL Panthers Dance Team, and the Orlando Predators (AFL) Dance Team.

Katie works full-time at Studio61 as a jazz instructor and company assistant..
